Large university in England.  In education facilities fire doors are subject to heavy traffic and fire doors have a torrid time often being subject to repeated misuse. IMS are FIRAS certified for fire doors and upon completion of remedial work IMS will provide documentation to aiding in creating a history database and an updated asset register for future on-going inspections / maintenance. IMS protective work for the university will cover as a minimum the following:

• Intumescent door strip and smoke seals
• Door frames including stability of fixings
• Door closer and runners
• Hinges
• Glazing (vision panels)
• Ironmongery – Locks and levers/handles
• Door hold open devices
• Gaps around the doors and thresholds
• Safety Signage for Fire
