The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 place a duty of care on the building owner/occupant to take general fire precautions so far as reasonably practical for the safety of the building and safety of the people in it. Section 17 of the Order relate to the maintenance of systems to control the fire risk and requires that all type of dampers is subject to a suitable regime of maintenance and are in efficient working order and in good state of repair. IMS has been award a contract for the maintenance in judiciary asset such that installed dampers are serviced and tested.
