IMS group use a bespoke app to record data that can be adjusted to suit your needs and be manually loaded into any CAFM system. Making it a universal application unlike most on the market.

Fire Safety Act working in partnership with IMS

The changes made through fire safety act has had a profound impact on the residential market. We have built systems in place allowing our clients to complete their own quarterly checks through our app with us monitoring the data and our team completing the annual PPM and inspection for them. Saving costs and ensuring compliance with the new legislation.

Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 Sample Survey.

The Passive Fire Protection RRO 2005 Sample Survey was designed to help eliminate the confusion of what exactly is required under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 in relation to passive fire protection.

To eliminate the mystery around passive fire and in line with the new Golden Thread guidance, IMS has designed a sample survey for clarity.

The Passive Fire Protection RRO 2005 is not designed as a condemning report of what is wrong, but instead as guidance. This calculated approach is about raising the awareness and accountability of a recognised system for Passive Fire Protection within a building. The observations are general guidance as it is unreasonable to mandate that fire risk assessors are to be experts in passive fire protection.

      Your fire safety obligations

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 was introduced to pass the responsibility of fire safety within a building to building owner. The building owner then passes the responsibility of fire safety to a person henceforth knows as the “Responsible Person”. This person will most often be the building manager or a member of the facilities management company. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 takes into consideration the expertise required to facilitate the requirements and allows the "Responsible Person" to assign numerous specialists that are deemed "Competent Persons" for advice and implementation.
