Fire Stopping Services
Fire Stopping combines various tested components to ensure that the fire resistance and thus integrity of protected walls, floors and roofs are never compromised by either service installation or ventilation voids. Assessment of the quality and compliance of executed work is carried out by an approved third party accredited body.
To ensure compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, all fire stopping must be recorded and detailing the products used. O&M files must be updated.
When improvement or new works on fire compartments are needed, these must be logged and rectified by an approved accredited contractor. Duty of care requires monitoring of all services and utilities for fire compartments and where breaches are identified they must be remedied immediately.
